Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on.
Our commitment
Accessibility matters to us, and it matters to the charities we work with. We aim for this website to meet a good standard of accessibility, broadly in line with the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
This website has been built with accessibility in mind from the start.
- Clean, semantic structure that works well with screen readers.
- Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast.
- Text that resizes without breaking the layout.
- Full keyboard navigation, including the menu.
- Respect for the “reduced motion” setting, so animations are minimised for those who prefer it.
- A layout that adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
- No cookies, pop-ups or tracking to get in your way.
Known limitations
We are honest about what is not yet perfect. The launch video on our About page has on-screen captions but does not yet have a separate text transcript. We plan to add one.
